Obituary for Janice A. "Jan" Gibson (Turner)
Janice worked as a teller at First National Bank and a volunteer with the Auxiliary at Freeman Hospital before moving to Table Rock Lake with her husband. Janice volunteered for the Coney Island Board of Directors, Coney Island Water Fund, Christian Associates and Happy Times.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and eight brothers and sisters. Survivors include her stepdaughter, Ann Phelps and husband, Ronald; and her beloved grandson, Robert Phelps.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to Kimberling Area Library or Joplin Humane Society in care of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
