Obituary for Loretta M. Smile
Loretta was born on January 18, 1931 in Pawnee Ok. The daughter of the late Lewis and Elnora (Wright) Coody. She married Paul John Smile on December 28, 1957, together they raised three children. She devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a past member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Kansas City. She was involved with Job’s Daughters and was a Guardian of Bethel 24 in Merriam KS. She enjoyed playing board games and cards with friends and family, crocheting, reading and she was an avid crossword puzzler.
She is survived by her daughter, Patty Jurich (Michael), Kansas City KS, her sons, Mike Smile (Dorrie McCosh), Plummerville AR., and Bill Smile (Barbara), Osawatomie, KS : four grandchildren, Nick Smile, Lauren Schlicht, Kristin Jurich, and Olivia Zwierzko,; five great-grandchildren, Aurora Smile, Sophia and Aubrey Gonzales, Cullen and Ava Schlicht, and a brother-in-law Floyd Huff, Joplin.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul John Smile, and her three sisters, Nadine Wolfe, Margaret Dickens, and Martha Huff.
She was very much loved by all and will be greatly missed.
