Dear Rose, Shottie's children and grandchildren: I hold you in mind & heart at this very sad time. My memories of Shottie go back to his teen years when Grandma Ford brought my brother Tom & me as very small children to Galena to visit great grand-daddy Shryock. We visited last in your home in 2009 when my brother Terry & I were returning from a trip to see Alma Buffington in Corpus Christi. Shottie was a gentle and kind man, much like his father. May he have eternal rest now with all his family and loved ones who have gone before him. Mary Kay
