St.Louis Cardinals

Always loved talking Cardinal baseball with Lynn.  He had endless stories of my hero's that I had only heard on the radio since 1951.  Lynn had been there with Kenny playing third base.  He not only had Cardinal stories but also Yankee stories.  The two teams that have won more World Series than any other.  When Lynn was at Frisco, we would always touch base with the cardinals and walk away feeling that I had graced someone who had walked with the greats in the Majors.  Always loved telling my brothers that I went to church with the Boyers.  My dad could never believe it.  Got a kick out of introducing him to Lynn once and his jaw dropped.  Lynn might as well been Stan the Man.  So funny.

Lynn had brushed shoulders with al of the greats it seemed.  All you had to do is ask and here it would come.  Guys like Lynn come through this life very seldom.  Thanks Lynn and Lyla for all those special times at Frisco.  Always special to see you come through those doors and then the Cardinals scored five in the ninth last night to walk it off.  I was watching that ninth inning with a 90 yr old man from Pittsburg, who played firstbase with the pirates and was 12 yrs old when the cardinal gas house gang gave him a baseball.  Sounds like some of those stories you would tell me.  Thanks for the memories and I know if we could see you now...Wow!!!
