Margaret C. Russell, age 101, of Joplin, passed away on Friday October 19, 2018 at National Health Care in Joplin. Margaret, the daughter of the late Charles Wesley and Hazel (Reed) Lowe, was born on January 5, 1917 in Duenweg, MO. On July 16, 1937 she was united in marriage to Cecile Ray Russell in Duenweg. He preceded her in death in November of 1970. Margaret enjoyed her time working as a waitress but spent most of her life devoted to raising her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include, two sons, Jack Russell, and his wife, Mary, of Joplin, and Steven Russell of Georgia; three daughters, Karen Clingan, and her husband, Buyrl, of Webb City, Patricia Anderson, of Carl Junction, and Dixie Barila, of Joplin; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and two sisters. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Gene and Clifford Russell; two grandsons; two great-granddaughters; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Mason-Woodard Chapel in Joplin, with burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery in Joplin. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at 10:30 am until service time.
