Barbara K. Rule, age 64 of Joplin, Mo., passed away on February 22, 2018 at Freeman Hospital, following an illness.

Barbara was born on November 23, 1953 in Springfield, Il., the daughter of the late, Paul and Dorothy (Thompson) Wilson. For forty-three years, she worked as an opti cad engineer manager for AT&T, retiring in 2016. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, Mo. She was also a member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneer’s Club.

She married Robert Rule on August 21, 1982 in Springfield, Mo. He preceded her in death by only a few days on February 11, 2018.

She is survived by one son, Michall Rule, Joplin; one daughter, Krista Waite and husband Matthew, Joplin; and two brothers, Mark Wilson and wife Patricia, Lincoln, Il., and Paul Wilson and wife Janet, Rantoul, Il.

Barbara was cremated with services to be held at a later date.
