Obituary for Cherri Lynn Isbell

Joplin, Mo. Cherri Lynn Isbell, age 41, of Joplin, Mo. passed away at 10:50 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at her home following a four year illness. Cherri was born August 30, 1971 in Baxter Springs, Kansas and had lived in Joplin most of her life. Cherri was a graduate of Joplin High School and attended MSSU. She graduated from Wayland Baptist University in Hawaii. She was employed in the Human Resources Dept. of Freeman Health System. Cherri was also a U.S. Army veteran with 10 years of service. She was a member of the Royal Heights Baptist Church.
Cherri married Gary Isbell December 10, 1988 in Joplin and he survives. Additional survivors include a son, Zachary Wayne Isbell of the home, one daughter, Lacy Diane Crossley and husband John, Joplin, her father and step mother, Ralph and Jolene Carter, Oronogo, Mo., her mother, Cherri Ellis, Joplin, four brothers, Frank Carter, Oronogo, Mo., Josh “Pittsburg” Ellis, and Blake Ellis, both of Joplin, and Casey Caudle, Carl Junction, Mo., three sisters, Shannon Carter, Carl Junction, Mo., Shelly Woody and husband Craig, Carterville, Mo., and Melody Whitehead, Seneca, Mo. and one grandson, Nick Oakleaf, Joplin.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Joe Workman, Minister officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Chapel. Memorial contributions are requested to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason-Woodard Mortuary of Joplin, Mo.
